風と茶畑とバイクと親父ライダーと…

The wind, the tea fields, the bikes, and the old man rider...

During the first long weekend in November, I went to Kakegawa in Shizuoka to participate in the tea plantation bike event "Wind, Tea Plantations and Bikes" organized by Mr. Saito, the owner of a motorcycle shop I'm grateful to.

We gathered at 5:30am. My W1 bike blew a fuse, which is a common problem with old bikes, sowe had to leave at 7:30am. 💥 We had planned to take the Tomei Expressway, but then we took the Chuo Expressway instead. But something good happened after the trouble! We stopped at the Hanadoriyama Observatory on the way and were able to see a beautiful sea of clouds. 😀

I arrived safely at the event venue in Kakegawa, but I was late, so I was looking forward to the venue being empty after the excitement had finished. 😊 Apparently, there were over 100 cars there. It was a huge success! 🎉

While wandering around to do some groceries, I spotted a red brick building in front of Kikugawa Station and took a commemorative photo. It's apparently an old tea warehouse. The combination of old bikes and red bricks really suits the atmosphere.

At night, we camped at Tanaka Farm, a tea farm. We enjoyed a leisurely time chatting about old and new bikes😆

On this tour, I wore the new design mask face "Bobber Nose (8 slits)" . It provides solid wind protection when riding at high speeds or in mountainous areas. I use a bubble shield, but the mask has good breathability so it didn't fog up. It's easy to put on and take off with just a hook, so I can recommend it with confidence👍
